THE KLEARCUT TEAM

Klearcut Apparel originated with Frankston line style writer AFTOR AKA DAEDS STH, back in 2008. The first range of tees and hats were heavily influenced by graffiti - think drippy tags and block letters.

A few years later, mates Riff and Pierre set out to relaunch the brand that Aftor had established. Riff brought a new focused vision for the brand, based on a 90’s streetwear aesthetic and Pierre came through with the technical skills to help him achieve it. Crew mate and fellow Frankston liner Traz helped design the brands logo and the Southeast Compass was born, a reference to the suburbs of Melbourne where it all started.

With a background in graffiti, the DIY ethos has always been an important aspect of the brand. Early on we set out to teach ourselves screen printing so that we had full creative control over our garments, from concept through to production.

Over the years the brands style has merged sports and the streets. Klearcut Sport draws heavy inspiration from labels popularised in 90’s hip hop and skateboarding. The street side of the brand is where we pay homage to our roots in graffiti and we've been lucky enough to feature some of our favourite local style writers.

In 2024, Klearcut has expanded to a group of 4 - Seb, Traz, Riff and Pierre. Each member an artist in their own right and bringing different talents to the table.
