ABOUT US

Klearcut Apparel originated with Frankston line, style-writer AFTOR AKA DAEDS STH, back in 2008. The first range of tees and hats were heavily influenced by graffiti - think drippy tags and block letters.

In 2016, mates Riff and Pierre set out to relaunch the brand that Aftor had established. Bringing a new vision for the brand, based on a 90’s streetwear aesthetic. Then the Southeast Compass was born, a reference to the suburbs of Melbourne where it all started.

With a background in graffiti, the DIY ethos has always been an important aspect of the brand. Early on we set out to teach ourselves screen printing so that we had full creative control over our garments, from concept through to production.Over the years the brands style has merged sports and the streets. Klearcut Sport draws heavy inspiration from labels popularised in 90’s hip hop and skateboarding. The street side of the brand is where we pay homage to our roots in graffiti and we've been lucky enough to feature some of our favourite local style writers.

In 2025, Klearcut sees Seb and Riff at the helm. The duo has taken the brakes off and is charging full steam ahead—focused on growing the brand and taking the label to new heights.
